Church Printing

You figured out you need resources for an upcoming sermon or event. You may even know exactly what those resources are that you need. But still, commercial printing can seem daunting. With so many choices of paper type, various printing methods, and terms that are not identical to the way we think as churches, it is easy to get overwhelmed.

We're here to help!

SermonView is passionate about helping churches communicate visually. Our ministry team of trained print professionals use their knowledge to help your church be assured you get exactly what you envisioned. We work exclusively with christian ministries to make sure it is easy to find the products and services that are unique to the church world.

Steps to Ordering Print

  1. Determine what pieces you are looking to have printed. We offer almost everything you can find at non-christian print shops, plus many church specific items such as bulletin shells, and offering envelopes. Take a look at our church printing options or receive a quote.
  2. Choose from our selection of over 1,700 designs or upload your own design.
  3. Our Pre-built designs offer three ordering options:
    • Customized. This choice allows one of our top designers to change out titles, subtitles, fonts, or make small edits to your prebuilt resource.
    • Without Titles. Use this option for wall art or any image where you don't need any words.
    • As Seen. We start printing the version you see on the screen immediately. Without the need for a proof this choice moves through production faster.
  4. Finish placing your order online or give us a call at 1-888-432-9370 to get the order started. If you chose customization then you can expect to see a proof within 24-48 hours.
  5. View your proof and either request changes or accept it. You'll receive up to three proofs at no additional cost. Once your proof is accepted we go directly to production. To see how quickly you can expect to receive your product view our timeline.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How are returns and refunds handled?
Your satisfaction is the most important part of our job. As proof we boast a 99% customer satisfaction rate based on the reviews of our customers. If you receive your products and they arrive out of specification or with major defects in the printing we are happy to re-run your job or return your payment. Please note that because of our online proofing system SermonView cannot guarantee color matching. If you have a question about a particular job feel free to contact our customer service team at 1-888-432-9370.

How does your proof process work?
Once you have placed an order, either online or over the phone, your job will get entered into the design queue. Once your designer has worked up an inital design you will receive an email to log in to your account and view the proof. You can then ask for changes with or without a new proof, or approve it on the spot. All notes will go directly to your designer to reduce the number of proofs required to create your final piece.

Can I get a proof without placing an order?
Our designers work all throughout the US and are some of the best Christian designers in the country. In order for them to start on a project an order must be placed in our system. If you ever find yourself unsatisfied with a designer's work we will make sure to resolve it. Read the full details of our refund policy.

Can I cancel or change my order?
Any order can be canceled or modified before you approve your proof. Once the proof has been approved the order goes directly into production and no changes can be made. If you need to make a change on an order that has not yet been designed or approved give us a call at 1-888-432-9370. If you need to cancel an order that is already designed, please refer to our full refund policy.

Why am I not receiving your email updates?
Some email providers block emails for different reasons. To be sure that you receive all of our communication add info@sermonview.com to your address book or safe sender list. You can always find updates to your job in the My Account area of the website.

How do I check my order status?
The simplest way to follow your order is through the My Account area of the website. After you log-in this area will have information regarding the status of your job, access to your proofs, and any tracking information for the shipment of your product. If for some reason you do not see your job in this section feel free to call us at 1-888-432-9370 and we can give you all of that information over the phone.

How do I upload my files?
After you have placed an order with us online you will be given upload instructions and sent an email with additional upload options. If you are placing the order over the phone your representative will give you the information you need to get us your files quickly.

Can I upload files before I make an order?
If you need us to look at files before you place your order, sample them to less than 5MB files and send them to info@sermonview.com along with your questions.

What file types do you accept?
The best files for us to work with are either .PSD, .JPG or .PDF form. If you are uploading a logo or a graphic element then we prefer .EPS files. We do not accept Microsoft file types, because of their ability to substitue your font choices without notification. If you have other types of files such as MS Publisher then please save them as a PDF or use print to PDF software.

When am I charged for my order?
All orders are charged in full at the time of placement.

What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa and Mastercard online. If you want to pay with American Express or electronic check (or e-check) we can accept those over the phone. We can setup your church or organization to be billed, but you will need to fill out an application and pay up front for your first order. To learn more about setting up an account call our customer service team at 1-888-432-9370

What resolution should my artwork be at?
All printed pieces other than large format (over 18" on both sides) should be at 300 dpi. Large format printing can be at 150dpi.

Design Basics

Here are some simple rules to keep in mind for creating effective design:

  • Make sure the images you use are high enough resolution for print. Just because something works on the projector at church, doesn't mean it is large enough to print. Images should be actual size at 300 dpi to make sure they look good when printed.
  • Our files require an 1/8th inch bleed. If you are creating a file make sure to use one of our templates. Your finished file size should be the image size plus .125 inches on all sides.
  • Files should be prepped in CMYK and not RGB.
  • Remember: Unlike most print shops we'll do the final file preparation for you, and at no cost. So as long as the files are big enough, just get creative and we'll take care of the rest.

Marketing

Outreach marketing can be a very disciplined pursuit. In order to reach people who have not previously stepped into a church you must find ways to invite them that are heartfelt and meet their needs. When designing a printed piece to help with your outreach goals it is important to remember that they may have little interest in Church. In instances where you are communicating to people outside of your walls there need to be a few changes in your communication style. Here are some excellent points to keep in mind.

  • Make sure to find common ground with your prospect. You haven't shared the same childhood and you probably don't like the same books, but you both know what it feels like to be alone. These human commonalities are known as felt needs. They are the needs that all people share while living apart from God in this broken world.
  • Be real and relevant. Relevant does not mean trying to be cooler than you are and real doesn't mean using a bunch of Christianese. Find ways to tell people the story of Christ using modern words that make sense to everyone.
  • Ask your demographic. Hopefully there is someone in your church that represents the people you are trying to reach. The thirty-something couple who came to church to get their kids involved, or college students who need to find their own "Adult" church. Whatever the group, talk to someone who can represent them, and ask for their honest opinion. If there isn't anyone matching the description that you want to reach, start by asking yourself why not. And find a way to ask people outside your walls what apeals to them.
  • Reaching people in this modern world is a challenge. SermonView has a team of dedicated professionals waiting to help you. Call and speak with an evangelism expert today at 1-888-432-9370, to see how we can help you get more out of your next outreach effort.
